About Frozen Rust

// Built by Frozen · Devon, UK · stats verified in-game

Frozen Rust is a free collection of calculators, planners and reference pages for Rust — the survival game by Facepunch Studios. No login, no paywall, no ads shoved in your face. It exists because the tools I wanted while playing didn't exist, so I built them.

Who runs this site

Frozen Rust is built and maintained by one person: I play Rust as Frozen — yes, that's where the site's name comes from — and I'm based in Devon, UK (niob3n on GitHub). This is an active player's site, not a content farm. I play on the current patch, which matters: most Rust guidance online is stale by two or three updates. When something changes in a force wipe — a crate count, a hack timer, a recycler moving — I see it in-game before it shows up in patch-note roundups.

The tools (the grow calculator, god clone planner, genetics calculator, raid calculator and friends) are hand-built, run entirely in your browser, and work offline.

How stats are verified

  1. Tested in-game on the live patch. First-hand play is the primary source — if the live game disagrees with a wiki, the live game wins.
  2. Cross-referenced against Facepunch's official updates and established community references before publishing.
  3. Softened when uncertain. If a number varies by patch or server config and can't be confirmed, the page says so ("community-consensus values — verify in-game") instead of stating it as fact.
  4. Reviewed each force wipe. Rust changes monthly; pages are updated when the game changes, and the news and patch-history pages refresh automatically every day.

What this site will never do

The pledge

  • No recoil scripts or cheats. They're bannable and they ruin the game. Our aim training page covers legitimate practice servers only.
  • No skin-gambling or off-Steam market links. Free skins content covers Twitch Drops, Prime Gaming and Steam item drops — the legit routes, nothing else.
  • No fake claims. Rust costs money on Steam and we say so plainly. No "get Rust free" bait.

The site itself

Static HTML, open source on GitHub, no tracking beyond consent-gated analytics, and every page built to load fast. If you find the tools useful, the best thanks is sharing them with your team before wipe day.
