The Eoka Pistol is Rust's wipe-day chaos weapon. Default-known, dirt cheap, fires 12 gauge shells. The catch: ~15-20% chance to misfire on each trigger pull. When it works, it's a one-shot kill at point blank. When it doesn't, you're stuck pulling the trigger again while your target shoots back. Beloved (and feared) for its random feel.
Roughly 15-20% chance to misfire per trigger pull. Community-tested values vary slightly by Rust patch but the rough range has been stable for years. Each misfire counts as a click but doesn't fire — you have to pull the trigger again.
Standard 12 Gauge ammo — Buckshot, Slug or Incendiary. Same shells as the Pump Shotgun and Double Barrel. Buckshot is the default for player kills; Slug for distance and structure damage.
Yes — at point blank range against a naked or lightly-armoured target, a Buckshot blast deals enough damage to kill. Range falls off rapidly though; past 15m it's a poor choice.
75 metal fragments + 30 wood. Default-known recipe, no workbench needed. The cheapest gun in the game.
