Two-card blue puzzle with multi-storey loot tower and dense crate spawns.
Mid-game puzzle monuments. Most need a green card → blue card progression and one fuse. Loot tier rises sharply (military crates, elite crates, components, scrap) — the meat of the monument economy.

Trainyard is the fast Tier 2 puzzle — green → blue card progression, just one fuse, no scientists, multi-storey loot tower. Smaller footprint than Water Treatment but with comparable Elite Crate density. The ascending tower layout makes it one of the most distinctive monuments visually and one of the easiest to remember the puzzle path through.
Single-fuse Tier 2 with a tower-up loot path:
Trainyard's verticality is its defining feature:
Both a green and a blue keycard, plus one electrical fuse — standard Tier 2 progression but with only one fuse required (vs Airfield's two).
Zero — Trainyard has no NPC defenders despite being a Tier 2 monument.
Low radiation in some interior sections — basic clothing is enough, full hazmat is overkill.
Smaller footprint, no scientists, only one fuse needed — but lower total loot than Airfield's two-hangar density. Trainyard is faster and safer; Airfield is higher-EV per puzzle.
Inside the apex puzzle room at the top of the central tower, behind the blue-card door. Climb the tower stairs to reach it.
Trainyard's vertical layout makes it one of the most distinctive monuments in Rust. The puzzle progression is the same green→blue Tier 2 pattern as Airfield, but the loot is stacked across the tower's floors instead of spread across two hangars. The ascending sweep — clear ground, climb to mid, climb to apex, loot Elite — is intuitive and quick.
The lack of scientist defenders makes Trainyard a safer Tier 2 than Airfield, comparable to Water Treatment. The trade-off is total loot — Trainyard's tower density is lower than Airfield's two-hangar layout. Most route plans treat Trainyard as a quick stop between bigger Tier 2 monuments rather than a primary destination.
Vertical engagements at Trainyard reward map awareness. A defender holding the apex has a strong line down through the tower stairs; an attacker pushing up has limited cover. Plan your approach — if you spot another team already in the tower, consider waiting for them to leave rather than fighting up the stairs.
