How tea and Bear Pie stack with yield

The Yield Calculator works out exactly how much extra ore, scrap, cloth or wood you get when you stack the buffs Rust gives you — tea tiers, Bear Pie, jackhammer multipliers and gene bonuses all combine in non-obvious ways. Plug your setup in and the calculator returns the per-node and per-hour numbers.

Tea tiers

• Basic tea — small bonus, made from 4 berries (e.g. 2 yellow + 2 blue for ore).
• Advanced tea — moderate bonus, made by combining 4 Basic teas in the mixing table (~16 berries).
• Pure tea — biggest bonus, made by combining 4 Advanced teas (~64 berries total). The only tier worth grinding for.

You can stack one tea of each type at once (one ore tea + one max-health tea + one wood tea), but you can't stack two different tiers of the same type. Pure tea always overrides a basic of the same type.

Bear Pie + Ore Tea

Bear Pie's hidden interaction is what makes it so valuable: it adds a second multiplier on top of pure ore tea, dramatically increasing ore-per-node when both are active. The exact stacking math is in the calculator above — just toggle Bear Pie on and watch the numbers jump.

Jackhammer factor

A Jackhammer doesn't increase per-hit damage, but it converts the buff into ore faster than picking. With pure ore tea + Bear Pie + Jackhammer, a single sulfur node can yield 50%+ more sulfur than the base value — the difference between one rocket and two on a raid run.

Best tier per resource

• Sulfur runs — pure ore tea + Bear Pie + jackhammer. Always.
• Wood farming — pure wood tea + chainsaw.
• Scrap recycling — pure scrap tea before going to a recycler with a stack of components.
• Health stacking — pure max-health tea before any fight.
