Rust Scrap Tea
Scrap Tea is the looter's tea. It boosts the scrap you pull from barrels and crates by up to +350%, turning a regular road farm into a scrap goldmine. The Pure tier also has the longest duration of any farming tea — 60 minutes — so you can drink early and still have buff time during a long monument or road sweep. Like every Rust tea, it follows the standard tier progression: 4 berries make 1 Basic, 4 Basics make 1 Advanced, 4 Advanced make 1 Pure.

When to use it
Road runs, recycler grinds, and large monument loot sweeps. Drink right before you start hitting barrels — every barrel you crack during the buff is 2-3× the scrap.
What it stacks with
- Max Health Tea — Stay alive while running roads; both buffs run independently
- Healing Tea — Carry instant-heal teas in case you get rolled by a pirate
What it doesn't stack with
- Another Scrap Tea (the new one replaces).
- Ore Tea / Wood Tea — different yield types but you can drink both at once for mixed runs.
Tips from the wipe meta
- White berries are the bottleneck for Scrap Tea. Plant a small white-berry plot specifically for scrap teas.
- Hit a recycler immediately after a road run while buffed — recycled component scrap is also boosted.
- Weekend wipes: brew 4-6 Pure Scrap Teas before launch night. Best ROI early when barrels are dense and uncontested.
Common mistakes
- Drinking before you've identified a route — you'll waste minutes of the buff travelling.
- Expecting it to boost component scrap from cracking blueprints — only barrel/crate scrap is affected.
