Warming Tea is the cold-biome survival consumable in Rust. With Pure Warming Tea active, you gain a temperature buff and a hydration boost that protects against freezing damage in snow biomes — letting you stay at Arctic Research Base, Train Yard in winter conditions, or ice lakes without dragging a campfire. Like every Rust tea, it follows the standard tier progression: 4 berries make 1 Basic, 4 Basics make 1 Advanced, 4 Advanced make 1 Pure. Specific temperature numbers vary by patch — verify in-game against your current map biome.
| Tier | Effect | Duration | Berries |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Cold-biome heat buff (basic) | 20 min | Red + yellow berries (verify pattern in-game) |
| Advanced | Cold-biome heat buff (medium) | 20 min | 4× Basic Warming Teas combined |
| Pure | Cold-biome heat buff (strongest) | 20 min | 4× Advanced Warming Teas combined |
Brew at a Mixing Table or Cooking Workbench. The order of berries in the slots matters — check the Berry & Tea Reference if unsure. The Tea Brewery Calculator tells you how many of each tier you can brew from your current berry stockpile.
Snow biome runs: Arctic monument, Train Yard in winter, ice lake roams. Drink before entering — Pure tea lasts a full hour, longer than any other tea in the game.
