The Revolver is the first 'real' weapon most Rust players craft. Cheap, reliable, 8-round capacity, fires pistol ammo (which you can craft into incendiary or HV variants). Roams for hours with experienced solos who never feel the need to upgrade — a competent Revolver player drops most newer T2 wielders.
T1 workbench. 75 metal frags + 1 metal pipe. Default-known blueprint — no research required. ~10 second craft time.
8 rounds in the cylinder. Reload is one cylinder swap (~3.5 seconds), not individual round insertion.
Yes — for its tier and cost. Reliable damage, decent range, 8 rounds is enough for most early-wipe fights. Many experienced players carry one as a sidearm even after they have an AK or LR-300.
Semi-Auto Pistol (SAP) is T2 with a 10-round mag and faster fire rate. Better in raw stats but more expensive to craft. Revolver is better cost-per-kill in early wipe; SAP becomes the choice at T2 onwards.
